Every naturalista has staple products that they rely and depend on to help achieve their favorite hair style. Right now my staple products for washing and conditioning my hair are Salon Selective Conditioner, Shea Moisture’s Jamaican Black Castor Oil Shampoo and Leave in Conditioner and Treatment Masque. My staple styling products are macadamia natural oil leave in conditioner, asha mandela growth renew oyl and carols daughters loc butter. My hair absolutely loves these products when used together. I follow this regimen on wash day when I am styling my hair into 2 strand twist whether they are medium or small.

The salon selective conditioner is my prepoo. For those who are not familiar with this term this is basically my pre shampoo. My hair is very thick and long so in order for my wash day to be a success I have to detangle my hair using a moisturizing conditioner to help me with the process. This makes the actual washing  process a pleasure. I section my hair into 4 or 6 sections and add a generous amount of conditioner to each section. I use my fingers to detangle each section and focus a lot on  my ends.

The shea moisture Jamaican Black Castor Oil Line has been my favorite for the past 3 months. The shampoo cleanses my scalp and retains my moisture at the same time. My hair remains detangled the entire time I am washing it. The leave in conditioner and masque just adds extra moisture so once I have completed all three steps, my hair not only feels soft it looks hydrated and ready for styling.

My styling products have been my go to for over a year. Before styling, I massage my scalp with the growth renew oyl then begin styling. Each large section I part, I add the macadamia oil leave in conditioner and a small amount of oil. I use the loc butter on each section that I twist. My twist come out extremely hydrated and plumped. Once I complete the twist I either leave them or I style them by pulling them back into a nice bun using a pony tail and bobby pins. My hair stays moisturized for the entire 2 weeks. After wearing my bun for 2 weeks I take the pony tail out where the twist out for another week. This style gives me total of 3 weeks which for me is amazing.

At night I tie my hair up using a silk scarf if I am wearing the twist in a bun. If I am wearing them out to begin with, I will use a bonnet. This allows the twist to lay straight down while I am sleeping. Below are a list of where you can find these products.
