Twelve26 KeepYourPantsOn Eula Taylor Sivan Soffer Emma MedeirosSunday night brought Boston Fashion Week 2015 to a close, and with it, an intimate showing of plus size fashion brand Twelve26. The Viselli Salon on Newbury street, was bustling with bloggers, stylists, models, and the stars of the evening, Eula Taylor (head designer of Twelve26) and Sivan Soffer (Founder and CEO of KeepYourPantsOn.com, AKA “The Belt Boutique”). The atmosphere was chic yet casual, with refreshments and background music. Our hostess, Emma Medeiros (President of Medeiros Fashion PR) introduced the spring and fall collections of 2015. Both collections features tiered A line skirts, flattering waistlines, and beautiful prints. You can watch the recap of the entire show below.

The best part of the evening was interviewing Sivan and Eula. Both are incredibly passionate about their work and the missions behind each of their brands. I spoke with Sivan first. His company, Keep Your Pants On, is a website created for women to find unique and stylish belts to add personality to their wardrobe. Very often it’s difficult to find what your looking for in terms of belts, as most retailers view belts as an afterthought. KYPO specializes in bringing independent designers tot he forefront in their showcasing of various belt styles in all sizes.

During our interview, Sivan about what could be expected for plus size offerings on his website. He said that there are plus sizes currently available, but not enough for a devoted section of the site. However, a designer by the name of Katherine Schouler will create a collection called the Adere belt. I’m looking forward to her line, which will be debuting on the site in a few weeks. Additionally, we got onto the topic of accessibility for plus size accessories. Sivan empathized with that struggle by making an observation about the disconnect between the sizes of models displaying the product, and the average consumer’s body type and size. His mission for KeepYourPantsOn.com, is to be the go to site for women’s belts in every size. The secondary mission is body confidence, which I think is an awesome mission for an accessory that can really enhance a women’s silhouette.
This generic viagra 50mg has been leading with excellent promising results of getting rid from the problems of male impotency whereas; it has also led for the improvisation of their ability of sustaining stiff erection of the penile region during intercourse. Once the energy calmed in the salon, I sat with Eula Taylor, Twelve26’s head designer. In spite of the influx in plus size fashion boutiques, and mass retailers, the plus industry is still lacking in garments which flatter fuller figures. Sizing, fit, and silhouette, are issues which plague all body types, but there’s an added layer of difficulty for plus size women. With so much of our choices confined to the internet, it’s difficult to determine what works for us, even with sizing charts. And when it comes to pattern choices…let’s not even go there. Matronly patterns, or the signature animal print, are the only options at times, very limiting indeed. Eula shares my exasperation in the lack of options, as we 011f5414b7a09fd24ce56110eeafa4f99517c4233ediscuss what inspired her to become a designer and the choices behind her most recent collections.

Eula began designing four years ago, creating patterns based on her own body type. “I’m a full-figured girl myself, who loves clothes, and I felt like there weren’t a lot of clothes in the marketplace that really captured me and my personality.” She described her brand’s woman as “The full-figured professional woman who wants to look cool. Who goes to work, goes to happy hour, to a wedding, all of these places and can accessorize her clothes in such a way that they fit every facet of her life” a young urban professional with a wardrobe suitable for her very full life. I loved this about Twelve26, because I saw myself in her clothes. I felt that the shapes, materials, and patterns were young and hip enough for a girl with personality, yet also work appropriate.

We talked briefly about Twelve26, names after she and her mother’s birthdays, and the upcoming 2016 collections. On her long terms goals for her brand “My goal is to make Twelve26 a lifestyle brand that caters tot he full-figured professional woman”. I’d say she’s well on her way.
