I am Linda “Wellness Warrior” Wells. I hold a Masters in Education. I am an Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 200), health coach, chef providing customized nutrition plans for future Wellness Warriors. I empower people along our shared journey, to release habits no longer serving them and live healthier and happier lives.

This lap of my wellness journey began in 2011, when I left my career of nearly 10 years after burning-out. I was a Program Director serving in a youth and community agency. We were deep in the recession, youth programs were closing in the midst of a spike in youth violence and murders in the City of Boston.

I observed my youth, colleagues and myself on life support. No one was being empowered or encouraged to take care of their own well-being. As a community we were in survival mode and suffering from socioeconomic health related inequities i.e. depression, obesity, and post traumatic stress.

One day, I woke up and realized I was over 220 lbs, lonely, burnt-out and the career, I loved became a J-O-B. Since that day I’ve chosen Wellness everyday. I left that job and found myself somehow collecting  Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), clinically depressed and studying nutrition and eating healthy on food stamps. That grew into me testing recipes, diving into books like Clean by Alejandro Junger, East Coast Vegan, Eating Raw Foods on a Budget by Brandi Rollins. I have taken on a warrior’s mindset and found the victory by releasing 40 lbs and helping my community, family, friends and now clients collectively lose [release] over 220 lbs. We are healthier and happier and empowering others to (do it for themselves) by becoming Wellness Warriors. I serve my community as a health educator, advocate and Healthy Community Champion educating people on eating healthy (focusing on plant based meals ) on a budget.  I’m extremely passionate about teaching black and brown people how to add affordable vegan dishes to their meat loving diet.
